One Lap of the Web: Ferrari sketches, attainable classics and a Brougham

Fri, 11 Oct 2013

-- A set of Ferrari sketches leaked online at jokeforblog.blogspot.it. It looks to be a hard-core, two-seater version of the shooting brake FF. The sketches were picked from the European Patent Register -- check them out. The blog things they are for a single customer as a "one-off" model, but your guess is as good as ours.

-- A 1989 Cadillac Brougham survivor is featured on bringatrailer.com. The car was allegedly owned by the seller's aunt, and it's being sold out of Libertyville, Ill. The price is $6,900 or best offer.

-- Attainable classic cars are the subject of this article over at Petrolicious. The Datsun 240Z, BMW 2002 and Alfa GTV are a few to look at. While you're there, check out "Dare to be Different," featuring a Datsun.

-- Since the slowdown of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, loads of military vehicles are coming home to roost. That means aerial drones, of course, but also a slew of Hummers, Jeeps and trucks that look ready to patrol the deserts and caves of the Middle East. Nearly a dozen police departments have acquired them, so the next time you see a military convoy, don't just speed by. They could be your local Mounties in disguise.

-- Top Speed came up with some renderings of what the 2016 Nissan GT-R might look like. It features design cues from Nissan's most recent concepts, meshed with the GT-R's current styling. There are a few different takes; some are better than others.
