Pagani Huayra Roadster tease…isn’t. It’s just a new set of speakers!

Sat, 23 Feb 2013

The tease for something new from Pagani isn’t a Huayra Roadster, it’s a new set of speakers from Italian Sonus Faber.

Although the Pagani Huayra is still only on the road in single numbers – two years on from when it arrived – we did think a tease from Pagaini for ‘Something New’ at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show may be the arrival of a Huayra Roadster. But it’s not.

It doesn’t even to appear to be a limited edition Huayra (Horacio Pagani will be saving that one for when orders start to dry up) or some sort of new high-tech carbon weave option. In fact, as far as we can tell, all that will be new from Pagani at Geneva will be a new set of speakers.

Yes, the second teaser video (below) seems to make it as clear as it’s likely to be that Pagani are fitting the Huayra with a new set of speakers from Sonus Faber. Yippee. Of course, the speakers are apparently amongst the best there are, and Sonus Faber say of their woofers, tweeters and speakers in general:

Artisan workmanship, technology and sensitivity.

These are the fundamental values of Sonus Faber, an example of excellence in the world of high fidelity sound reproduction. The synthesis between woodworking in the ancient art of lute making and the modern technologies for processing metals and the perfection of loudspeakers from the Northern European school is increasingly perfect.

But the real giveaway that all Pagani are offering at Geneva is a new set of speakers is a post on the Sonus Faber blog more than two weeks ago, when they posted the first Pagani tease for Geneva.

Let’s hope all the other car makers’ promises for Geneva have a little more substance.
