Peugeot 207 facelift revealed

Mon, 29 Jun 2009

The Peugeot 207 Range has received a facelift

There are a plethora of 207 models in hatchback, SW and CC forms, with no less than 12 engine options in total. All models receive a revised front end, additional exterior body colouring and chrome detailing. The hatchback and CC also get new LED tail lights.

The interior has been given a makeover as well, with an ‘emphasis on perceived quality’ (does that mean it isn’t quality – just the perception of quality?!), new trim and a new instrument panel.

Peugeot are also making big play of the economical nature of the facelifted 207. All the engines have been tweaked to be more economical and have lower emissions. Peugeot are also introducing engines that meet the Euro5 Emission Standards, and have undertaken aerodynamic tweaks and lowered rolling resistance. They are also fitting a gear change indicator on manual cars to aid economical driving (just like that of Ford’s Econetic range, which either drives you mad or you ignore!).

There is also an improvement in spec, with the facelifted 207s getting USB and Bluetooth connectivity, remote window closing on the Hatchback and SW and one-shot windows on the CC.

Nothing earth shattering, but enough to see Peugeot 207 sales remain strong.
