Range Rover Evoque Price: An Evoque for under £28k

Mon, 04 Apr 2011

The Range Rover Evoque finally gets a price in the UK - from £28k

We’re beginning to wonder if any car launch has been as long and drawn out as that of the Range Rover Evoque.

What we now know as the Evoque kicked off over three years ago as the Land Rover LRX, but turned in to the Evoque at a publicity bash at Kensington Palace last Summer.

Since then we’ve had endless stories (well, around 40 since the Evoque was named) covering everything from the Evoque engine and model detail through to the 3-door Evoque (the Evoque Coupe) and the 5-door Evoque being revealed at different times.

But now we get to the meat; how much is the Range Rover Evoque? And the answer is – from under £28k. But it’s not going to be that simple.

On offer are three levels of basic trim (Pure, Prestige and Dynamic), three engine options (TD4, SD4 and Si4), two body styles (Coupe and 5-Door) and two drivetrain options (2WD and 4WD). So yes, there will be an Evoque for under £28k – it just may not be the Evoque you want.

That said, you can get in to the most powerful 4WD diesel Evoque – the Evoque SD4 5-Door – for under £30k in the guise of the Evoque SD4 Pure with a manual ‘box, so it’s not just the pauper’s Evoque with 2WD and hair-shirt seats that comes in under £30k.

The cheapest Evoque will be the Evoque eD4 150hp 6 Speed Manual 2WD at £27,955; the most expensive the Evoque Si4 Dynamic Coupe with LUX Pack and 6 Speed Automatic 4WD at £44,320. But that’s before you start on the options list – which is extensive.

So you have the basics to hand – the UK prices for the Range Rover Evoque – we’ve put all the prices below. But if you want all the bumph that goes with the release of UK pricing for the Evoque, we’ve also put up the Range Rover Evoque UK Price Press Release so you can get all the gen on standard specs too.

And actually, the Range Rover Evoque isn’t the most drawn-out launch in history. That accolade must go the the Lexus LFA which took about ten years from first concept to first cars.

Makes the Evoque look almost instant.
