Rolls Royce has its most successful year EVER in 2013

The 110th anniversary of Rolls Royce in 2013 is a record in itself, but RR have capped that by delivering a set of sales figures that are the best ever. Big sales growth across the glove saw sales in the Middle East rise by 17 per cent, China by 11 per cent and strong sales in other markets like Germany, Japan and Canada, with China and the US remaining the most significant markets.

Those extra sales have been helped by the network of Rolls Royce dealers rising to a record 120 with a further 15 new dealerships added in 2013 and more planned for 2014.

Sales have also been helped with the launch of the new Rolls Royce Wraith (pictured above) and a number of special edition cars like the Rolls-Royce Ghost Alpine Trial Centenary.

But it’s not just sales numbers that have risen for Rolls Royce, but the very profitable Rolls-Royce Bespoke personalisation programme saw almost every Phantom that rolled out of Goodwood getting some form of personalisation, and three out of every four Ghosts the same.

Torsten Müller-Ötvös, RR CEO, said:

I stated at the beginning of last year that I wished to see further sustainable growth, I am therefore delighted with this fourth successive record year, a result that reaffirms our leadership of the super-luxury segment.

This is an extraordinary British manufacturing success story borne out of a commitment to delivering only the very finest super-luxury goods. I am particularly satisfied to report that this result is based on a balanced global sales picture, with continued success in emerging markets paving the way for future sustainable growth.

A cracking year for Rolls Royce, and the promise of even better to come in 2014.
