Toyota Aygo Go! - Connectivity, SatNav and new Alloys

Yes, it’s another ‘Limited Edition’ to try and keep the punters waltzing through showrooms at a time of year when that’s the last thing on their minds. This time it’s the turn of Toyota, with a limited edition Toyota Aygo – the Toyota Aygo Go! And yes, the exclamation mark is Toyota’s.

So what’s on offer with the Aygo Go!? Well, it’s not designed to be a cheap way in to an Aygo, rather a way of speccing up an Aygo with a bit of cosmetic frippery and a few toys – without piling on too many pounds – to make you and me that bit more likely to bite the bullet and buy a new car, when all we’re really thinking about is how much this month’s credit card bills come to.

The Toyota Aygo Go! (one more ‘Go’ and they could have called it the Murray Walker) homes in on tech and connectivity, with a touchscreen removable TomTom complete with voice recognition which will also tell you the weather and POIs. There’s also Bluetooth and USB for connecting what you want to plug in and an MP3 compatible CD player if you’ve nothing to connect.

Cosmetic tweaks include a new set of alloys, privacy glass and a leather steering wheel and you can have your shiny new Aygo Go! in Chilli Red or Cirrus White with metallic Carbon Quartz as an option.

The Aygo Go! comes as either three or five door, with or without AirCon and all with the 1.0-litre three-pot VVT-i lump. Prices start at £9,750 and the Aygo Go! is on sale now.

If you like the toys the Aygo Go! is a perfectly good buy, even if it does seem to be the most expensive way to get in to an Aygo. It actually costs more than the current top of the range Toyota Aygo Black.
