Vauxhall Corsa Black Edition revealed with new 1.4 litre turbo

Vauxhall has launched a new limited edition Corsa – the Black Edition – featuring a new 1.4 litre Turbo petrol with 118bhp.

The Vauxhall Corsa Black Edition is, say Vauxhall, initially limited to just 500 units. Which does tend to suggest that if it sells, the Black Edition will join the regular Corsa Range.

Based on the existing Corsa Limited Edition, the Black Edition gets the usual ‘Limited Edition’ makeover with new wheels – 17″ Diamond-Cut in this case – and a chunk of cosmetic titivation.

That cosmetic titivation includes a black grill bar, dark headlights, tinted windows, a body-colored front lower spoiler, side sills, rear lower skirt and a spoiler, with interior tweaks of sports seats, sports pedals, silver stitching and some matt chrome trim.

Under the bonnet the Corsa Black sees the 1.4 litre turbo with 118bhp make its first appearance in a Corsa. Vauxhall say it’s good for 0-60mph in 9.7 seconds and 51mpg, which actually makes the Corsa Black Edition the second most powerful Corsa (excluding VXR).

The Corsa Black Edition is now on sale at £15,995 for the 3-door and £16,425 for the 5-door.
