In the vernacular of rock-and-roll TV chef Guy Fieri, his new car crib is way off the hook.

Built for Fieri as a DIY Network television showpiece, the two-car-plus garage space is like the owner himself--flashy, flamboyant and full-on car-guy comfortable.

Back in the spring, AutoWeek spent time with Fieri and watched as he doted on and drooled over his cars. At the time, he was in mild rehab of a family compound: To go with a modest 1,700-square-foot ranch was a 900-square-foot kitchen next to an outdoor cooking and dining area, adjacent to a pool and a six-car garage. Much of it was nearing completion, and the dust and frenzy proved it. From the outside, it appeared that Fieri was singularly spurring on the Northern California construction economy.

Move forward to this summer, when the last piece of the Fieri garage was brought up to snuff. It was, in fact, the crowning centerpiece for this host of three top-rated shows on the Food Network. His success has not come without effort and sacrifice--either by him or his family--as he spends 150 days a year on the road making TV shows or personal appearances.
