Infiniti M launches at Pebble Beach
Sat, 15 Aug 2009Infiniti has 'Virtually' revelead the new Infiniti M at Pebble Beach Anyway, odd launch or not, this is a big deal for Infiniti. And – for the first time – the UK and Europe will also be getting the Infiniti M, which is Infiniti’s Flagship model, aimed at the Lexus LS and – I suppose – the S Class, 7 Series and XJ, although it is slightly smaller. The launch of the new XJ properly started the new style of PR offensives when Jaguar managed to release what seemed like a thousand teasers for their new big Cat before we’d even seen it in the flesh, and that was a full year before the first new XJs even hit Jaguar showrooms.
Coventry University MA Degree Show 2006
Fri, 15 Dec 2006MA students from UK's Coventry University Automotive Design course presented their annual MA degree exhibition earlier this month. The Show, entitled 'Icons', which this year revolved around the central theme of designing tomorrows automotive 'Icons', displayed the students' work at Coventry's Transport Museum. Patrick le Quement, Renault's senior vice president of Corporate Design presented the Corus Award for 'Best Vehicle Design', which was awarded to Dev O'Nion who won for his design concept 'Apto Sapor.' O'Nion's project - an interior design concept - was inspired by organic themes in nature - what he called 'Natural Design' - to create a harmonious interior; a blend of the natural, biological and technical.
