Description from BMW:
Keeping the air flowing over the body during those hot days in the saddle is a wonderful thing, and now you needn’t overlook your feet when summer outfits are assembled. BMW’s AirFlow 2 boots have lightweight uppers constructed of leather and fabric with highly breathable AirTex® side panels that allow the wind free access. But just because these kicks are nice and airy doesn’t mean safety has been compromised. Nearly eight inches in height, these boots sport all the necessary and proper protection, including shin and ankle protectors, reinforced toes and heels, and reflective zones to help increase night visibility. |

Japan Car: Designs for a Crowded Globe
Thu, 04 Dec 2008The Science Museum in London, UK is hosting the Japan Car: Designs for the Crowed Globe exhibition, sponsored by seven Japanese automobile manufacturers. An exploration of the car as a 'mobile cell', the exhibition has been conceived by graphic designer Kenya Hara and architect Shigeru Ban to show how Japanese design reflects the 'soil and spirit' of Japan, depicted by concept cars and models specific to the Japanese market. Speaking to Car Design News, Shigeru Ban explained how the automobile was chosen as the central element to the exhibition because it is a reflection of Japanese culture and tradition.

Hyundai PassoCorto coming to Geneva
Fri, 21 Feb 2014Hot on the tailpipes of the Kia GT4 Stinger's debut in Detroit comes word of an even racier-looking two-seater from parent company Hyundai – the PassoCorto. Built by and for Gen Y car enthusiasts, the PassoCorto was styled by 16 students in the Master's program of transportation design at the Istituto Europeo Design (IED) in Turin. The students were tasked by Hyundai Design Center Europe with making “…the car that would be on top of their list for buying and driving.” We don't know any Gen Ys who could fork over close to $60,000 for a car, the cost of the similarly-sized Alfa 4C, but we know plenty who would like to have one.
