This is an BMW tie tack. It was patterned from an original emblem,  and is 1" round. It is a Cloisonné pin, meaning it is a die struck metal ( not plastic or paper ), with a hand painted enamel colors. These are top-of-the-line, jewelry-quality emblems. Cloisonné emblems have a smooth, hard-polished look, with a raised metal 3 dimensional look and feel, and are exactly the same as what we use in our shift knobs and key fobs. Any fuzziness is due to the extreme close up picture, not the emblem itself. It is chrome with the BMW colors .

With a new entry-level engine, Merc's clever Airscarf system, and a different front end, this second and final facelift should see the SL through until the next decade. That new nose is the most obvious change.

New Ford Kuga arrives in the guise of 2012 / 2013 Ford Escape

Wed, 16 Nov 2011

The 2013 Ford Escape arrives - the 2012 Ford Kuga The reveal of the new Ford Escape ahead of the Los Angeles Auto Show this week may not have the Kuga badge on its boot, but it is – bar a few tweaks and engine changes – just what we’ll see in Europe as the 2012 Ford Kuga. Based on the European-designed Ford Vertrek concept, the Ford Escape replaces the old-fashioned North American escape with a very European take on a compact SUV, but one that benefits from much more room to accommodate average Americans. The Ford Kuga / Escape is the next instalment in Ford’s plan to unify its models around the world.
