Mini Countryman (2010): first official pictures
Wed, 20 Jan 2010This is the Mini Countryman, the fourth addition to Mini’s range – after the regular three-door hatch, the Convertible and the Clubman – and also the first current-generation Mini to have four-wheel drive and four regular passenger doors. No, you don’t get the ‘road-trips’, but you do get complete petrolhead mayhem of a sort the BBC probably couldn’t live with on air. Case in point is this year’s addition to Top Gear Live madness, a 1308bhp custom-built Ford 350 Super Duty Monster Truck which stands 11′ high and shoots fridge-freezers – and anything else weighing up to 650kgs – 80 yards from an air cannon mounted on the back.
