In 1958, Steve McQueen bought this Jaguar XKSS from a local TV personality who kept it parked in a studio lot on Sunset Boulevard. McQueen cajoled his wife Nellie into writing a check for $5,000 -- today around $40,000 -- and became the third owner of XKSS chassis No. 713, a car that had originally been imported a year earlier by Jaguar North America.

75% of BMW 2 Series Active Tourer buyers will be new to BMW The new BMW 2 Series Active Tourer – BMW’s front wheel drive small family mover – went on sale in the UK in May and looks set to take on the Mercedes B Class and bring new buyers to the BMW brand. BMW say they are expecting around three quarters of all buyers of the new 2 Series Active Tourer will be new to the brand, which is a big opportunity for BMW. BMW purists may bemoan the front wheel drive setup as a betrayal of all BMW stands for (although you will be able to get xDrive 4WD versions), but for BMW it’s a very pragmatic way to go.

In a study result that surprises no one, it turns out that women prefer small cars and crossovers while men like Ferraris. At least according to TrueCar's annual report on the subject, that is. Mini, Nissan, Kia and Honda models are purchased by women about 45 percent of the time.
