It’s having a long drawn-out gestation, but Aston Martin’s One-77 supercar made its world show debut at this weekend’s Villa d’Este, where it scooped the top prize for concept cars and prototypes. We’ll forgive you if you thought the One-77 had already been unveiled, but the car at Geneva was a technical cutaway rolling chassis – the first finished car is the one show in our photos above. The One-77 won more than 30% of the votes among the eight cars entered in its category.

Royal College of Art students have redesigned the Fiat 500 and the Panda for 2020 in its 'Two of a Kind' contest. The project challenged Royal College of Art students to design the Panda or 500 of 2020 in teams consisting of Masters students from the vehicle design program and other courses. After 14 presentations, two proposals were chosen each for the Fiat Panda and Fiat 500 by an expert panel that included Ramaciotti, Fiat chief exterior designer Andreas Wuppinger, senior designers and RCA teachers and staff.

Denza - the JV brand of BYD and Daimler
The joint venture between Mercedes (Daimler) and BYD in China is to market cars under the Denza brand. It seems to have taken a very long time for the partnership between Mercedes Benz’ parent company Daimler and China’s BYD to come up with product or even a name. Well, they’ve managed the name although we’re still not too sure what exactly they’ll be flogging.
