  • So your working on your bike and following maintenance procedures or
  • You just picked up an old K bike and you getting it road worthy or
  • You suspect your injectors may need a cleaning so you removed them or
  • One of the cylinders is bad or running rough and you need to observe your fuel supply

Yup you should replace the O-rings, as suggested in the manual, whenever you distrub the injectors. Injectors are easy to clean and rarely mafunction which is why so many people bench test.  Others just want to verify they are getting good sprays of fuel (or at least eliminate it as a cause of the bikes current symptoms.  Either way, you feel "dirty" putting 10-20 year old hard as a rock O-rings back into the fuel rail or cylinder head.  REPLACE THEM!!!!! They dont suggest it because there is big money in O-rings.  You already got the rail off .

Remember there are two O-rings per cylinder, 1 to the into the rail and 1 into the cylinder head.  They are the same size.  Whether you are replacing them all or just the 1 you ripped or stretched beyond belief trying to get it off the injector OR WHATEVER !  REPLACE THEM.

TAKE CARE OF HER AND SHE WILL TAKE OF YOU ..... Wannabe the guy having bike issues when you finally get out for a ride with friends?  Personally I like to tinker anyway and we all are gonna check out our injectors, its part of tinkering!

DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND ORDER THESE BEFORE UNFASTENING YOUR INJECTORS, ONCE THEY ARE OFF YOU SHOULD REPLACE THEM.  EVEN IF YOUR CHEAP AND TRYING TO RE-USE THEM, YOU KNOW YOU ARE GONNA WRECK ONE OR TRY AND FORGET ABOUT THE CRACKING YOU SAW IN ONE OF THE RINGS AS YOU SLID IT BACK OVER THE INJECTOR BODY.

THESE SHOW UP AT YOUR DOOR, BOSCH, AND YOU DONT HAVE TO EXPLAIN TO YOUR DEALER THAT YOU WOULD RATHER DO IT YOURSELF.  YOU KNOW WHEN PLACE THE ORDER THEY ARE GOING TO ASK, " IS IT SOMETHING WE CAN TAKE A LOOK AT?"

Price per O-ring is 1.99 (each) if ordered individually

FACTORY DIRECT BOSCH REPLACEMENT, NOT CHINESE CRAP!

Saab at the Paris motor show 2008

Thu, 02 Oct 2008

By Guy Bird Motor Shows 02 October 2008 23:02 On one level, the Saab 9-X Air is a re-work of the Geneva show’s 9-X BioHybrid with its roof chopped off. But get up close and you’ll find it’s one hell of a smart hatchet job.   We admire the packaging. If you’ve ever had a soft-top you’ll know that most have very wide fabric C-pillars that impede vision and coupled with integrated rear glass windows can be tricky to fold away.
