CAR interviews Ian Callum (2013) at Frankfurt motor show

Tue, 10 Sep 2013

With XK, XF, XJ and F-type, design boss Ian Callum has transformed Jaguar from a brand unable to shake off its retro past into something edgier, cooler and altogether more modern. Now his C-X17 concept promises to take things a step further, breaking Jaguar into the crossover SUV market for the first time ever. CAR caught up with Callum ahead of the concept’s official unveil for an in-depth Q&A session.

Paul Walker crash 'caused by speed'

Wed, 26 Mar 2014

CRASH INVESTIGATORS have determined that the Porsche carrying "Fast & Furious" star Paul Walker was travelling at approximately 90mph when it lost control on a California street and smashed into a light pole, killing the actor and his friend. A person who has reviewed the investigators' report said that it concluded unsafe driving, not mechanical problems, caused the crash. The report says driver Roger Rodas was going between 81mph and 94mph when his 2005 Porsche Carrera GT began to drift as it lost control after coming out of a curve.

Drivers believe potholes 'are out of control'

Thu, 17 Apr 2014

MOST DRIVERS (67%) think the pothole problem in the UK is getting out of control and the government and councils are not doing enough to solve the problem. Research by the Institute of Advanced Motorists (IAM) has found 65% of female drivers and 69% of male drivers are very unhappy with the condition of the UK’s roads. The IAM cites a lack of communication between councils and drivers for this situation as a third (34% ) of drivers believe councils are reducing the amount they spend on road maintenance but 60% of drivers admit they don’t know if budgets are genuinely being cut.
