Scrappage helps UK car sales in October

Thu, 05 Nov 2009

Scrappage Scheme sales accounted for 20% of sales in October Despite our reservations about the Scrappage Scheme, it does seem that it has inspired buyers in to showrooms in the last few months. That level will be a big improvement over the latter years of the outgoing model, in which sales dwindled to just 15,000 a year, but it remains lower than the record figure of 83,000 achieved 18 months after the launch of the revised model.

Russo and Steele's Arizona auction closed Friday as weather wreaks havoc

Scottsdale police were not letting anyone into the site as collapsed tents and metal beams remain a hazard. One person was treated for minor injuries.
