TriMetric TM-2030-RV Battery Monitor System
includes the  MKB-50-500 Amp Shunt

Latest TriMetric Version with Audible Alarm!

This system is designed to Save Energy, Protect your Battery and Maintain your Battery System!

  • Helps save energy by letting you see how much power you're using.
  • Know when to turn on your generator to avoid damage from over discharge.
  • Monitor inverter/chargers to be sure they are still charging at proper rates and voltage.

This is a brand new battery monitor designed to assist in battery care, conservation and system maintenance of battery powered systems that use storage batteries. It provides the user with information on battery "volts", "amps" and "amp-hours" and "battery percent full" information, based on measuring the amp-hours removed from the battery system. This TriMetric works with 48V battery systems standard as well as 12 and 24V systems. Includes as standard a measure of lightning protection and over-voltage protection.

Please note that the TriMetric requires the external shunt located near the batteries to measure "amps" and "amp-hours". This item includes a Deltec Shunt MKB-50-500 500amp/50 mv.

The meter readout may be located hundreds of feet away from batteries and is usually connected to the shunt with a 4 wire cable. (The cable is not included with this listing!)
Features of the new TriMetric TM2030-RV

The TM2030 is easier for you to view enter and program the necessary system parameters.
The TM2030 has some minimal data logging, which can be useful for a technician to diagnose some common setup or operational problems with battery systems.
The TM-2030 will operate with (nominal) battery systems from 12 to 48V.
The TM-2030 can also monitor the voltage only of a second battery, such as a starting battery, or possibly also the input voltage of a solar array (if less than 100 volts.)
The TM-2030 has a “simplified” level of operation suitable for most users, but can be configured for more flexibility (and complexity) where occasionally required.
(For the technically knowledgeable only) The TM-2030 has a serial data output of all the “real time” data—which could be used to access data for other control or output in, for example OEM applications.

This system does not include the connecting cable. See our other listings if you need a system with the cable. This system is designed to be compatible with the new Bogart Engineering charge controllers, not included.

Please see our eBay store if you need to order other Trimetric accessories or the new Charge Controllers, SC-2030.

This TM-2030-RV has its own mounting box, with muted color scheme designed to fit with the interior of an Recreational Vehicle.

Engineers wring 30 mpg on the highway from the 2011 Ford Mustang V6

Thu, 04 Mar 2010

First Ford got us excited by making some major engine upgrades to the Mustang for 2011--a 305-hp, 3.7-liter V6 and a 412-hp, 5.0-liter V8. Now it's wooing us with fuel economy, too. Ford says the V6-powered Mustang has been certified by the EPA to deliver 30-31 mpg on the highway (depending on the transmission) and 19 mpg in the city.

Fewer people commuting but distances on the up

Mon, 31 Mar 2014

The average commute has increased in distance, but more people working from home means there are actually fewer cars on the road at rush hour today compared to 10 years ago, according to statistics from the most recent Census conducted in 2011. Figures show the average commute has increased from 8.3 miles in 2001 to 9.32 miles in 2011. People living in the east of England travelled the furthest to work at an average distance of 10.34 miles – while those in London had the shortest commutes averaging 6.83 miles.
