Infiniti Q50 Eau Rouge Meets The Real Thing
Thu, 21 Aug 2014WHILE Infiniti has yet to make a decision on whether to put its high performance Q50 Eau Rouge model into production, bringing it to the circuit with the corner named after it was too good an opportunity to miss. It’s no surprise that Sebastian Vettel, Infiniti’s Director of Performance and four-time Formula One World Drivers’ Champion, put the car through its paces as part of a social media promotional activity. Vettel has been involved in the ongoing development of the Q50 Eau Rouge prototype, which was first revealed as a design concept vehicle at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit in January this year.

But a hybrid halo doesn’t have to mean poor performance, a point Porsche has proved by taking the 918 Spyder to the Nurburgring to set a lap time. The Porsche 918 Spyder can deliver a total of 759bhp from its race-derived V8 and two electric motors which, although less than the likely power available to the F70 of P1, is still a significant amount of get up and go.
2011 Range Rover receives a modest update

The 5.0-liter, 510-hp supercharged V8 will find a home in the sport model, and the naturally aspirated 375-hp V8 will power the rest of the line.
