New Toyota iQ3 launched
Fri, 19 Jun 2009Toyota has launched a new version of the iQ - The Toyota iQ3 - with a bigger engine and spec The Toyota iQ3 gets Toyota’s 1.33 litre 98bhp VVT-i engine with Optimal Drive, which Toyota already offer in the Yaris and Auris, and offers 58.9mpg with either the manual ‘box or Toyota’s CVT. But sticking the 1.33 litre engine in to the Toyota iQ3 makes it more than just a city car. With a 0-60mph of 11.8 seconds and a top speed over 100mph, this little Toyota can cope with motorway driving quite well.

We’re already nearly halfway through Series 18 of Top Gear, with episode 3 on tonight. And so far, so good; the daftness is still there, but a lot less puerile than other recent Top Gear stuff, and some properly good car stuff too.
Renault Megane gets top Euro NCAP Score
Wed, 26 Nov 2008It’s becoming something of a habit at Renault – 5 star NCAP Ratings. And the Renault Megane has just achieved the equal highest Euro NCAP score of 37 points (shared with the Nissan Quashqai) in the latest round of tests. You’ve got to admire Renault.
