BMW Vision EfficientDynamics gets green light +video

The BMW EfficientDynamics is set for production in 2013 Probably the biggest show stopper at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show was the BMW Vision EfficientDynamics Concept, which offered a diesel hybrid setup withn two electric motors, M3 levels of performance and low emissions with 75mpg. In essence, a BMW M1 for the Eco generation. Since BMW revealed their Vision ED other premium car makers have joined the eco-supercar game and announced production of what amount to high-performance hybrids and/or electric cars. Mercedes has confirmed they are working on an SLS AMG E-Cell, with a working prototype already running around.

Royal ride--Aston Martin DB6 Volante

We promise this will be the only mention of the royal wedding you'll see on autoweek.com, but we just can't resist a beautiful car. Prince William and Catherine Middleton, newly the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, drove away from their humble nuptials in an Aston Martin DB6 Volante with the top down, license plate reading "JU5T WED." Gemballa MIG-U1 Enzo – details revealed

The Enzo Ferrari based Gemballa MIG-U1 Just before Christmas a set of pictures of a Ferrari Enzo dropped in to our inbox. They turned out to be pictures of a modified Enzo created by Porsche specialist Gemballa and looked very appealing – although probably not to Ferrari aficionados who would no doubt think the Gemballa-ised Enzo to be sacrilege. But we didn’t have much detail on the Gemballa MIG-U1 (for that is the catchy little moniker Uwe Gemballa had attached to his Enzo creation) save what we could see.
