Got a '49 Chevrolet Passenger Car? Don't miss this RARE opportunity to buy a genuine GM NOS Accessory Ash Tray Unit. It comes with its original Chevrolet Accessories box (box is torn -see photos). This unit installs in the instrument panel and instructions for this GM accessory are printed on the back of the box as shown. There is a cut out (delete plate) for a cigarette lighter (lighter not included). The ash tray itself slides out nicely. The chrome accents and knobs are bright and shiny. On our last 2 photographs, I'm trying to show some minor defects on the paint on one section at the top - looks like something may have brushed against it when paint was drying... I'm not sure - still a nice quality HARD TO FIND vintage piece. Quality is as shown. Catalog information:

A34 closure to create 68-mile detour!

The Highways Agency has announced essential bridge maintenance works are to take place on the A34 – and has revealed it will divert motorists on a 68-mile detour! Britain’s longest roadworks diversion One pothole for every mile of road in Britain A bridge near Beedon in West Berkshire is going to be closed overnight later in October – but it will be closed from Friday night to Monday morning for two entire weekends in November. The recommended diversion will be fully signposted and will take motorists on a tour of the M4, A404(M), A404 and M40… the total trip time will be at least one hour, says the agency, “but that could easily increase depending on conditions,” it admitted.

Nissan’s upmarket Infiniti brand officially launched its European range in Geneva, essentially a slimlined and simplified interpretation of its US model line-up: G37 coupe and saloon, EX37 coupe crossover and an all-new V8 coupe crossover to sit at the top of the range: the FX50. The latter model is essentially a scaled up EX37, though the nose treatment is notably bluffer and, to our eyes, a little too severe.

BMW unveils 2012 Olympic Pavilion

BMW – one of the major sponsors of the 2012 London Olympic and Paralympic Games – has unveiled its pavilion for the event. Designed by British architecture firm Serie, the Pavilion makes use of various carbon reducing and recycled elements in its construction to symbolize BMW's sustainability drive. The Pavilion's upper platform will feature a range of BMW products, including the new i3 and i8 electric models, whilst the lower part will house an interactive display that allows visitors to view just how BMW is supporting both the Olympic games and Team GB.
