Available for this auction is a Cable-X to fit GM vehicles '70s-'80s models
(has the GM snap-on speedometer cable end and fits most GM vehicles from
'69 and up... but check your actual connection at the speedometer to be sure).

This unit converts the pulses from an electronic vehicle speed signal (VSS) into cable drive.  Basically allows you to use original cable driven speedometers with late model electronic transmissions.   The box measures 6" x 4" x 2". and comes with a 36" speedometer drive cable.  With this unit, you could run a 4L60E transmission in conjunction with a stock mechanical GM snap-on speedometer (screw-on fittings available in my other auctions).

Unit is adjustable to allow for use with different PPM (pulses per mile).  Change your tires, change your rear axle ratio, just recalibrate the Cable-X to correct your speedometer.

Information from the Cable-X website:

Cable-X
A Simple Solution to a Speedometer Problem.

The Cable-X is the easy, cost-efficient way to operate your stock mechanical speedometer with a transmission equipped with vehicle speed sensor. The Cable-X is basically an universal adapter that will pick up the electronic speedometer signal and will operate the cable driven speedometer to the corresponding speed. It's a snap to install with only three wires - hot, ground and signal. No costly installation of drive gears or long messy cables to deal with.

The Cable-X is a one-of-a-kind solution to your speedometer problem. So solve it today.

Instructions / calibration charts included.
This is a new Cable-X.

Ssangyong getting bullish with the Korando SX

Tue, 07 Aug 2012

The new Ssangyong Korando SX is to feature in a £1 million TV advertising campaign comparing price and spec with its rivals. It’s almost exactly a year since we reported Ssangyong’s return to the UK market with the Ssangyong Korando, a competitive budget compact SUV they hoped would set them on a path to sales success in the UK. Ssangyong ramped up their Korando offering in June by launching the Korando SX 4×4 at a very reasonable £18,795, although you did have to sacrifice kit – and a lump of power – to achieve the new 4×4 entry price.

2014 Chevrolet Reaper bumps Silverado to 550 hp

Mon, 27 Jan 2014

It was only a matter of time before a Chevy Silverado decided to give the Ford Raptor a run for its money, in this case via noted tuner John Lingenfelter. The company announced its new Chevrolet Reaper project at the National Automotive Dealers Association last Friday. The 2014 Reaper is the result of a conversion kit that takes an average Silverado -- already a good truck -- and puts it on steroids, so to speak.

Hyundai reveals i-oniq concept teaser

Thu, 15 Dec 2011

Hyundai has hinted at its future design direction with this single teaser shot of its ‘i-oniq’ concept car. Further details will be revealed in the run-up to next March's 2012 Geneva show, but judging by this glimpse, the concept will take the form of a large coupe with a hatchback tail. It stops short of the full shooting-brake silhouette, but there’s a hint of Brera in the curvature of its rear end. ‘Two strong arched curves define the silhouette of i-oniq, creating a playful contrast between the sharp character lines and soft but muscular features’ says Thomas Bürkle, Hyundai’s European Chief Designer.
