Nissan LEAF EV sales top 50,000

Nissan has revealed that sales of the electric LEAF have now topped 50,000 units since the LEAF went on sale in 2010. We’re not fans of the electric car as a replacement for the ICE car, but some electric cars can give a fair impression (at a a price) of a traditional family car, and the Nissan LEAF probably does it better than any other electric car. The LEAF went on sale in 2010 and, although sales have not been exactly huge, Nissan has revealed that the LEAF has now passed more than 50,000 cars sold in the 17 countries it is available, with the U.S.

Jaguar to build more R-S and R-S GT models

Not only that, but Jaguar has also replaced the XJ Supersport with a more focused XJR that offers proper dynamics and a more clearly defined appeal than the Supercpsort. All opf which points to Jaguar’s plans to offer cars in their range that have true performance credentials to take on the might of BMW’s M Division and Mercedes AMG. Wraps come off revised Touareg

VOLKSWAGEN has announced prices and specifications for its revised Touareg, ahead of the SUV hitting the showrooms in November. Priced from £43,000, two versions of VW’s 3.0-litre V6 diesel engine will be offered, while the inclusion of an eight-speed auto gearbox has resulted in the entry level 204 horsepower variant emitting just 173g/km CO2 – 11g/km less than before. On the outside, the new Touareg features revised bumpers and grilles, new alloy wheel designs, new colours and bi-xenon headlights as standard.
