You are bidding on a new 2 row High Efficiency (15% More Cooling Over OE) Aluminum Desert Cooler radiator built by U.S. Radiator. This unit is equivalent to a 4 row High Effiiency radiator with O.E. styling.

Things To Consider When Choosing An Aluminum Radiator

How thick is the radiator?

Instead of looking at the amount of rows the radiator has, find out how thick the radiator is.  Radiator tubes (rows) come in many sizes.  U. S. Radiator Desert Cooler radiators use 2 rows of 1" tubes (2" of linear surface), while others use 2 or 3 rows of 1/2" tubes (1 to 1-1/2" of linear surface).  So all of those other radiators that boast about being "3 Rows", dont actually cool as well as this 2 row radiator.

How is the radiator constructed?  Does it have stamped tanks?  Does it have epoxy or glues?

U.S. Radiator uses fully brazed cores and do not use epoxy or other glues.  They use press formed tanks that have O.E. looks.  They are also more durable then those box tanks on other radiators.  Aluminum gets very week around the welds.  Box tanks are basically flat stock that have been welded together to form the tank.  All of these welds make the box tank less durable than press formed tanks.

We also use correct brackets, billet filler necks and overflow nipples.

This radiator has a 15-1/2" tall core.  Please see or other auctions if you need a 17-1/2" tall core. 

IMPORTANT! To ensure you will be receiving the correct radiator, we will need to know the following information once you complete the purchase:

1 - Do you need a transmission cooler built into the radiator.  We do not charge extra for this.

2 - This radiator can be built in 2 different ways.  Please tell us which part number you need

AL027102:  Filler neck on passenger side.
AL271028:  Filler neck on driver side.

Note: You may have to adjust mounting pads for fit.

Sales Tax:
We charge 8.75% Sales Tax to all items being shipped within California.

All items are shipped UPS Ground unless otherwise arranged by customer and approved by us.

Continental United States:
The shipping costs stated in the auction are based on UPS Ground to any location within the continental United States. If you want the item delivered to anywhere else, please refer to the information below.

All Other Locations (Alaska, Hawaii, Canada, International):
We will consider shipping to other locations via our UPS account. Please contact us via email for a shipping quote. In order to provide an accurate quote, we will need your full address and the exact item you want shipped.

**Important** Dimensional Weight:
Due to the size of the radiator boxes, most carriers charge by ‘dimensional’ weight instead of using the actually weight of the package.  So even though you may be buying a radiator that weights 15 lbs, UPS could charge for 54 lbs.

Lead Times:
Items will be shipped as soon as possible after payment is received. In some cases, it may take 1 - 3 weeks to ship once payment is received. Due to the numerous configurations in which a radiator can be ordered for any given car, its is impossible to have everything in stock. We do stock popular radiator configurations for each car to help shorten lead-times. If you need a radiator ASAP, please contact us to find out if its in stock before bidding.

Combined Shipping:
In some cases we can combine shipping and will do our best to do this, but obviously we cant combine 2 radiators. We can however combine shipping when ordering a shroud with a radiator.

All sales are final but we will work with any reasonable request. All radiators, except where noted, carry a 1 year warranty against manufacturers defects.

If the radiator is damaged during shipping, we will help you get it replaced. However, if you damage the radiator during installation or because you forgot to tighten your fan and the blades chewed up the core, we will feel badly for you, but thats about it.
