Here is a 12V B&C starter for an R-44.  It is composed of a motor assembly from an R44 starter that had a bendix issue, and another R44 starter that had a stator issue, but working bendix assembly.

The small external wire that goes from the solenoid to starter lost its shielding and needs to be replaced.

It is recommended you send it to B&C for an overhaul.
