Offering this original MGA factory style luggage rack that mounts to the trunk lid (boot) on wide previously chrome plated straps.

The overall rack dimension is 16” x 30-1/2” with an upright rear support that is 20 inches wide by 2-3/4 inches high.

The curved straps, whose contour matches that of the trunk lid, are 1-1/2 inches wide x 28 inches in length. The strap undersides are shiny indicating they were originally chrome plated.

The word “FRONT” is stamped into one end of each strap to insure correct positioning.

The top sides are smooth and rust-free. They exhibit the normal surface condition expected after laying in the garage attic for about 35 years.

All rack round “bar” members are rust-free and exhibit a similar surface condition. (Please examine photos).

Each of the two (2) cross bars have lugs welded, are rust-free, ready for the attachment of the rack itself. Original bolts supplied.

The originally assembled rack was disassembled by seller for inspection, photography and this eBay listing.

Rubber strips for mounting are not included.

Suggestions/directions for proper mounting are available on the internet.

This item is one of numerous items set aside by seller 35-40 years ago thinking that in retirement it would be needed.
