Listed here is a USED Mercruiser 5.7 350ci engine for the Alpha platform for $5000. It is a mid 1990s model year. It runs well and as always been fully maintained. This is a TRUE Mercruiser engine NOT a hacked up Chevy truck/car engine. It is currently powering my Sea Ray. It has lived its entire life on freshwater lakes and rivers and has never seen salt water. I got it from a doctor that lived on the Butler chain about 10 years ago and I have only used it on the St. Johns in the Orlando area. Engine shows its age but runs great.  I WOULD LIKE YOU TO COME SEE IT BEFORE YOU PURCHASE.  THIS IS FOR LOCAL PICKUP ONLY.    Engine is still mounted in boat so you can see how it runs.  Can be removed fairly quickly if purchased. Shows no serious deep corrosion or rust.  Manifolds and risers look good and operate normally.  The engine you see pictured is the actual engine being sold.  If you have any questions or need help with compatibility please feel free to contact me and I will help you to the best of my abilities.   Thank you for your interest.  Steve MMSLLC :)
