Aluminum Marine anodes are used for protection in freshwater, brackish water and saltwater applications. Canada Metal aluminum anodes protect at least 5% better, last 50% longer, and weigh 50% less than traditional zinc anodes. They also contain 0% Cadmium, a toxic material found in traditional zinc anodes. Alloy is designed to meet or exceed US Military Specification (Mil-A-24779(SH)).
