The Garrett Variable Nozzle Turbo (VNT) is one of the most advanced and interesting turbochargers that has ever been offered in production. Garrett decided to make these fantastic units available for race and custom after market installations. Instead of using one nozzle to accelerate the exhaust gas towards the turbine wheel, it has a ring of 12 variable vanes. As the vanes are rotated, they change the area of the nozzles that the exhaust must pass through. The smaller the nozzle, the faster the gas velocity, the more turbine power, the more boost. At the other extreme the vanes can open fully when boost is not needed, with the resulting reduction in exhaust restriction. The VNT is mated with a low inertia rotating group and an efficient centrifugal compressor to achieve the goal of a truly adjustable boost system. In addition the system efficiency is improved at high speed due to the reduction in backpressure compared to a wastegated system.

This auction features the latest in this high tech Variable Nozzle Technology with a water jacketed style bearing housing, o-ringed seal plate with a carbon compressor seal. The carbon compressor seal allows the turbo to handle fuel passing through it as in a draw through type system.These turbochargers are beautiful parts of the highest quality. These are not those cheap knock off parts from china or some second rate re builder that will most likely fail in short order. The compressor inducer measures 1.567"/39.8mm the exducer is 2.025"/51.4mm the turbine wheel inducer 2.076"/52.7mm the exducer is 1.819"/46.2mm and is capable of a massive 250+ H.P. on a very wide range of engine displacements and applications. You can't buy better quality than Garrett at any price. (original cost over $2,200.00). Please look very closely at the photos and check all part numbers Etc. to be sure this is what you want.
