GM Chevy 6.2 Diesel Engine Excellent used take out!

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING DESCRIPTION BEFORE YOU PURCHASE!

IT WILL HELP YOU UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU ARE BUYING 

WHERE DID THESE ENGINES COME FROM?
This is an excellent take-out 6.2 diesel engine from a military Humvee.  It was taken out of a running
Humvee during the military rebuild program. This is NOT an engine that was taken out because of defects!

ENGINE DESCRIPTION:
The engine does not come with the exhaust manifolds or starter, but the engine does have the fan clutch,
water pump, injector pump, intake manifold, etc. 

CAN I PUT THESE IN CIVILIAN VEHICLES?
YES!
If you want the 6.2 to go in a civilian vehicle, you will need to change a few parts.
The block and heads are the same, but pulleys, injector pump solenoids, sensors, intake manifold and
other parts are different.
If you have a bad 6.2 civilian engine to use as a parts donor, the parts will easily interchange. 

WHAT KIND OF CONDITION ARE THESE ENGINES IN?
EXCELLENT!  Because we have multiples of these, the picture we have provided is from an engine we have
already sold. After starting, running and compression checking our engines, we give them a fresh coat of
paint, band them to a pallet and shrink wrap them to protect them. These are low mileage engines, but..
THEY ARE NOT BRAND NEW! They might have small dents in the oil pan or the valve covers and show light
scratches, etc. from being moved around during storage and shipping.  None of these minor cosmetic flaws
affect the performance or reliability of the engines in any way.

 HOW MANY MILES DO THESE ENGINES HAVE ON THEM?
The engines had in the 10,000 to 40,000 mile range when they were pulled from the HMMWVs. 
We can not tell which engine has what mileage as they were not marked when we got them from
the contractor. We generally do not know the year on these engines. Everybody says that they can
tell from the codes on the block. We’ve heard about 5 different “methods” and none consistently work,
so we usually don’t know the year of manufacture on the engines.

We Do "know" that they will interchange with ANY year 6.2, with or
without turbo, EXCEPT for the rear mounted turbos as in Hummers and
Chevy passenger vans.

 HOW CAN I BE SURE I AM GETTING A GOOD PRODUCT?
All our engines have been test-run by our own team of mechanics. They sound great and hold 50 lbs.
oil pressure at idle and about 75 lbs. at higher RPMs. We also COMPRESSION test EACH ONE. They do
not have any problems that we can see.  They must meet our strict standards or we do not sell them.
We have sold SEVERAL HUNDRED of these with excellent results and happy customers.

WE DO NOT CHARGE A CORE FEE! or ask for you to return the core.

WHAT ABOUT SHIPPING?
We remove the oil filter and drain all fluids before shipping.

Keep in mind shipping to the carrier’s terminal for pick up or a business district is about $160.00 less

Individuals do purchase our engines and arrange their own shipment outside the US. Most international
customers use a Buyer/Broker to handle their purchase. We will ship to a US port for the Buyer/Broker.
We do not export these engines.

We offer crating for $100, if desired.  We recommend crating the engines for shipment security.

CAN I USE THESE IN A MARINE APPLICATION?

Yes.  However, we have no expertise in boat applications, so we can't tell you what parts you need or
how to go about hooking one up.  We have sold lots of them to people to put in boats and we got
good reports back from them.
