- 45-10 is our largest and strongest snap shackle. Ideal for use on spinnaker halyards and sheets on most boats up to 55 feet.
Snap shackles are designed to allow quick release of loads when pin is pulled. While this is a convenience for many applications involving spinnakers and sheets, there is danger that misuse or misapplication could result in damage to equipment or personal injury. Never use a snap shackle to haul someone aloft. Always by-pass the shackle and tie directly to the eye splice.
