Korean supercar blasts into Goodwood
Mon, 02 Jul 2012Believed to be the first-ever South Korean supercar, the 845-hp, mid-engine de Macross Epique GT1 made its European debut last weekend at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. Renaultsport R.S 01 first pictures: Renault’s new 2014 racer revealed
Wed, 27 Aug 2014By Tim Pollard First Official Pictures 27 August 2014 16:26 If you were worried that Renaultsport had lost its mojo after the lacklustre Clio RS, think again: it’s just unveiled the new Renaultsport R.S 01, a wild and focused track racer for the Trophy one-make series. It’s mounted amidships and revs to an angry-sounding 6800rpm.
Volkswagen hits back, weighs making a bid for Porsche
Thu, 23 Apr 2009Volkswagen is considering an audacious reverse-takeover bid for its majority shareholder, Porsche, in a twist in the drawn-out struggle for control between the two German carmakers. The secret plan emerged as shareholders were set to convene at Volkswagen's annual meeting on Thursday, and it comes after Porsche revealed that it is carrying some 9 billion euros ($11.73 billion) in debt, most of it owing to interest on loans taken out to purchase its 50.8 percent stake in VW.
