Volkswagen Golf24 (2011): VW's new 'Ring racer

This flame-spitting beast is the Volkswagen Golf24, VW’s new Nurburgring 24hr racer. The Golf24 will race at the ‘Green Hell’ in the legendary endurance event on 25-26 June 2011, but although it’s been built as part of Volkswagen’s celebrations for the 35th anniversary of the GTI, it shares little with the hot hatch that we know and love. Mitsubishi has launched the Mitsubishi Lancer EVO X FQ330 SST [ad#ad-1] Mitsubishi has decided that there is a hole to fill in its Evo X range, so it has introduced the Mitsubishi Lancer EVO X FQ330 SST, to fit in between the FQ300 and the FQ360. The Mitsubishi Lancer EVO X FQ330 SST offers an increase of 29bhp over the FQ330, and features Mitsubishi’s new six-speed Twin-Clutch Sports Shift Transmission, which translates in to a 0-60 mph time of 4.4 seconds. The additional power on the FQ330 comes from a re-mapping of the ECU and improvements to the intake and exhaust to make the Evo breathe more easily.

2011 Chevrolet Camaro discovers more power--now it has 312 hp

Chevrolet has found an additional 8 hp for V6 versions of the 2011 Camaro, power that likely has been there all along. The direct-injection 3.6-liter engine with VVT is now rated at 312 hp, up from last year’s 304 hp. Chevy didn’t actually do anything to the engine.
