Citroen Cactus Concept revealed
Thu, 05 Sep 2013The Citroen Cactus Concept (pictured) has been revealed When the Citroen Cactus Concept was teased a week or so ago, we reckoned it looked like the first look at a simpler ‘C’ range of cars from Citroen with a touch of the urban warrior thrown in. And that seems to be exactly what it is. At 4210mm long, the Citroen Cactus is a bit shorter than the C4, but gets a rufty-tufty stance and looks like a crossover made for the urban jungle.
Design Contest: NDA wins 2009 LA Design Challenge
Fri, 11 Dec 2009A future where environmentalists and car enthusiasts - not to mention sober-minded adults and thrill-seeking young people - all coexist in harmony just might be possible with Nissan's V2G concept vehicle. The hypothetical design study, which runs on a futuristic grid of electric roadways but can also be customized for 'off grid' joy riding, won the 2009 LA Auto Show Design Challenge for the way it embodies this year's 'Youthmobile 2030' theme. The focus was to create vehicles that would appeal to a generation of young drivers raised on cell phones and social media.
2013 BMW M5 facelift & new M6 get Competition Package
Tue, 21 May 2013The BMW M5 (left) & M6 with new Competition Packacge But the 2013 BMW M5 – and its coupe sister, the BMW M6 – will also be getting a Competition Package option for 2013, which is probably more interesting than the minor tweaks to the 2013 5 Series. The Competition Package adds more power to both the M5 and M6 – a whole 15bhp, taking it up to 567bhp – enough to improve the 0-62mph by 0.2s on both M5 and M6 as well as re-tuned dampers and springs – which lower ride height on the M5, but not the M6 – stiffer anti-roll bars, new M Diff and an improved Dynamic Mode which should allow you to play a bit more. On the cosmetic front, just like the 5 Series facelift, you’ll have to look quite hard to see what the Competition Package adds, but you do get a black finish on the tail pipes and a slightly different set of 20″ alloys.
