Mercedes-Benz reveals new S-class interior

Mercedes-Benz has revealed the interior for its next-generation S-class in a series of darkly lit photographs aimed at emphasizing the car's ambience. While appearing similar to current models in a number of key areas, the cabin of the flagship Mercedes-Benz sedan has been redesigned in a bid to provide it with added levels of luxury, comfort, space and new multimedia functions. Key among developments is a new dashboard with horizontal architecture and ambient lighting to accentuate its width.

Porsche has revealed the full details of its new Panamera Turbo S, and it’s a monster. Set to debut at the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show in November, the Panamera Turbo S is no less than 50hp more powerful than the regular Panamera Turbo, and now sprints 0-62mph in less time than an Audi RS6. Or indeed the last generation Porsche 911 GT3.

The 100,000th car is, appropriately, a white Mercedes  A 180 CDI Sport – perhaps the best-selling A-Class – which has been collected by its new owner from Mercedes-Benz of Bristol. This is the first full year the new A-Class has been on sale (although the first customer cars didn’t start arriving until well in to the new year) and augers well for sales numbers in 2014.
