Chev Reverse Rotation Iron Distributor Gear Use With Rh Engines. on 2040-parts.com
Tacoma, Washington, United States
|
Stock MC and other opposite rotation (RH) engines come with cast iron roller or hydraulic lifter camshafts, and you must use a cast iron distributor gear and not bronze, composite or other! Mixing these alloys up causes pre-mature gear and engine failure. Our cast iron gears are hardened to RC50 to 55 (GM specs) to assure you of compatibility of correct metals and longest life. Includes hardened roll pin for mounting.
We have two different Chev reverse rotation part numbers available. Our 2533 in this listing fits the standard GM distributor with a .491 shaft diameter. Our 2540 fits MSD, Pertronix and others using a .500 diameter shaft. If you have any doubt about what you need, please call 1-877-253-7882 before ordering, or if you need the .500 diameter gear. New Mercedes E-Class Cabriolet and Estate delayed
Tue, 26 May 2009The new Mercedes E-Class Cabriolet - now put back until Spring 2010 Mercedes has done a pretty good job on updating the E-Class, and its been receiving good comments all round. But Mercedes has lost the momentum a bit with the revelation that the E-Class Coupe is actually based on a C-Class chassis. Not that that alone is reason for complaint, but there was a big hoo-haa around the nomenclature for the E-Class Coupe (should it have been the CLK?) so it was a bit disingenuous of Mercedes to reveal the Coupe’s roots after its reveal.
Hennessey Performance CTS-V wagon breaks its own record at the Texas Mile
Tue, 25 Oct 2011Everything's bigger in Texas, and it appears everything's faster, too. John Hennessey and his company, Hennessey Performance, brought its tuned-up, 707-hp Cadillac CTS-V wagon--a.k.a., the Hammer Wagon--to the Texas Mile and posted a one-mile speed of 189.7 mph, a new record for the car. And that wasn't even terminal velocity, according to Hennessey.
