• Looking for a classic looking tachometer for your 1960s Chevelle ?

• Why pay $300 or more for a reproduction, or $600 for an original that may not even work?

• Chevrolet Chevelle owners, and other Chevy vehicle owners can now install a modern Look-a-Like tachometer into their classic Chevy while maintaining the vintage/classic look they desire. Don’t get stranded with an old Tachometer that runs live ignition through the Tach and fails (like some 1960s muscle car Tachs)…..have peace of mind knowing the modern components inside this Tachometer won’t let you down.

• The chrome bezel, the wording, the needles, and the yellow and red line are in the style of the original.  The size is approx 3" diameter, and the face size is approx 2 3/8".

• We've come up with a custom Look-a-Like kit utilizing a modern 8,000 RPM tachometer featuring a heavy triple chrome-plated metal bezel and all metal black case with a wrinkle-type camera finish, like many 1960s style tachometers.  The deep set non-glare Plexiglas displays the classic face dial beneath.  The tach is heavy duty and solid state for shock protected movements, and is Zener diode regulated.  The tach is not backlited, but around the outer edge only, and is on the dim side at night due to the black face. Most of us classic car owners don't do allot of night driving anyway, right?

• Kit includes everything you need including universal installation instructions for any ignition type and any engine size, (yes, even you 6 cyl guys) including a wiring kit, lugs, and universal bracket for 360 degree mounting in any position, including by your knee!

90 day warranty for workmanship defects.

McLaren DOESN’T stop production of the MP4-12C to fix problems.

Sat, 08 Oct 2011

McLaren MP4-12C problems haven't stopped production The McLaren MP4-12C is McLaren’s first road car in almost twenty years, and it appears that the new 458 competitor from Woking has a few problems. Reports have been cropping up for some weeks that MP4-12C owners have been plagued (well, plagued is harsh) by a raft of problems including a battery drainage issue (something many cars suffer from early on), headlight condensation and glitchy door operation. McLaren are adamant none of the issues affecting the 12C are safety related and it is therefore continuing to build the cars, so although there will be a delay for some new owners in delivery, the issues should cause no long term back log in deliveries.

Ford C-Max & Grand-C-Max (2011) – UK prices

Mon, 06 Sep 2010

UK price and specs for the Ford C-Max & Grand C-Max Prices We never fail to be surprised by how long it can take from the reveal of a new car until that car starts to hit showrooms. In the case of the 2011 Ford C-Max and the 2011 Ford Grand C-Max it is almost exactly a year since Ford unwrapped what will be the first Ford to use the Global C-Segment platform – which will also underpin the 2011 Ford Focus and the next generation Ford Kuga – at the Frankfurt Motor Show. Having finally got the C-Max to the UK, we’re pleased to see that instead of foisting endless trim specifications levels on to buyers Ford has decied to keep it simple with just two options on the C-Max and the Grand C-Max – either Zetec or Titanium.

Continental developing experimental semiautonomous vehicle

Mon, 26 Mar 2012

A vehicle that drives itself has been a fantasy for many drivers since they encountered their first traffic jam. While a fully autonomous car is not quite here, Continental—yes, the same company that makes tires—has an experimental semiautonomous vehicle that will eclipse the magical 10,000-miles-on-road mark this month. Its unassuming Volkswagen Passat is fitted with a plethora of safety and technology systems that the company has been developing and tweaking over the course of the project.
