• The chrome bezel, the wording, the needles, and the yellow
and red line are in the style of the original. The size is approx 3"
diameter, and the face size is approx 2 3/8".
• We've come up with a custom Look-a-Like kit utilizing a
modern 8,000 RPM tachometer featuring a heavy triple chrome-plated metal bezel
and all metal black case with a wrinkle-type camera finish, like many 1960s
style tachometers. The deep set
non-glare Plexiglas displays the classic face dial beneath. The tach is heavy duty and solid state for
shock protected movements, and is Zener diode regulated. The tach is not backlited, but around the
outer edge only, and is on the dim side at night due to the black face. Most of
us classic car owners don't do allot of night driving anyway, right?

McLaren DOESN’T stop production of the MP4-12C to fix problems.
Sat, 08 Oct 2011McLaren MP4-12C problems haven't stopped production The McLaren MP4-12C is McLaren’s first road car in almost twenty years, and it appears that the new 458 competitor from Woking has a few problems. Reports have been cropping up for some weeks that MP4-12C owners have been plagued (well, plagued is harsh) by a raft of problems including a battery drainage issue (something many cars suffer from early on), headlight condensation and glitchy door operation. McLaren are adamant none of the issues affecting the 12C are safety related and it is therefore continuing to build the cars, so although there will be a delay for some new owners in delivery, the issues should cause no long term back log in deliveries.
