For sale is one used set of main caps with rope rear main seal. P/N 3704066 For Chevy Small Blocks 1955-1957 (265ci or 283ci, Rope Style Rear Seal) These were removed form a mid 50's Chevy 265 engine block, includes the 4 front caps and 1 rear cap with the oil pump mount. They all have some light surface rust on the outside (pics), no damage or pitting, the insides are in great shape with no damage. The caps do not have any cracks that I could see. The rear cap is for the rope style rear main seal. The caps are not numbered. The original bolts will be included but should not be reused, there is 1 bolt missing.
This will be a good used original set of caps for your early 265 or 283 build, please look at the pictures below. If you have any questions please contact us.
