THIS IS A 283 V8 CHEVY BLOCK. BEEN REMACHINED WITH NEW CAM BEARINGS. MACHINED .030" OVER. CASTING #37565519. DATE CODE E2860. DATE CODE SHOULD BE MAY 28 1960. HAS BEEN SITTING A FEW YEARS IN DRY INSIDE STORAGE. I HAVE IT SPRAYED WITH RUST PREVENTATIVE TO KEEP ANY RUST AWAY. I WAS GOING TO USE THIS TO DO A BUILD BUT TIME MARCHES ON AND I AM GETTING UP THERE IN YEARS AND HAVE TO FACE FACTS THAT I WILL MOST LIKELY NEVER GET TO THIS PROJECT. I ALSO HAVE A SET OF .030" OVER PISTONGS AND RODS ON EBAY FOR SALE. THEY WERE GOING TO BE PART OF THIS BUILD. Due to bow in at the Paris motor show in September 2010, the new CLS continues the theme set by the 2003 original, offering four doors in a low-slung, coupé-like shape. If the new Mercedes CLS stirs your memory somewhat, that would be because it draws heavily on the Shooting Break concept which we saw earlier in 2010 at the Beijing motor show.
Turin Dream Exhibition
Mon, 17 Nov 2008The 'Dream' exhibition currently taking place at the Giovanni Agnelli Pavilion Esposizioni in Turin is a stroll through almost 60 years of creativity, which convinced the world of carmakers - and consumers - to accept new stylistic features; demand greater performance and safety; and to create new ways to adapt car interiors to the many demands of business and leisure. One of the main events commemorating Torino 2008 World Design Capital, there are 54 one-off examples and three-dimensional objects on view in the 12 galleries, piazza and atrium, including projects from local design schools Instutito Europeo di Design (IED) and the Istituto d'Arte Applicata e Design di Torino (IAAD). IED is showing two projects created by students on its post-graduate course in Transportation Design: the Fiat Panda from 2007 and the 2008 BMW ZX6 - a thesis project created selected as the main photo of the exhibition.
