We operated heavy duty over the road trucks and semi-trailers and used this machine to put new lining on the shoes. It saved money and allowed us to get our equipment back on the road quickly. Back then, if you wanted a part or repair, you had to go to the city, which was 100 miles away. This machine contributed to eliminating downtime. Some rivets are included. This was manufactured by the Chicago Rivet Machine Company in Bellwood, IL. Type 38; Serial No.: MR-443 (or it might be MB-423 or MK-423). Forging number: K423. It's heavy andthere are no visible cracks or missing pieces. Believed to be purchased on 11/15/1960. Packing list with that date included, along with various catalog sheets of various models. This one does not include a drill or motor. If you win the auction, contact me and advise how you want to ship it, by your own truck or by freight. Lexus Detroit Concept tease 2. Could this be an LFA derivative?
Mon, 19 Dec 2011Lexus Detroit Concept tease 2 (click image for full size) Lexus has sent us the second teaser photo of a new concept showing a new design direction heading for the Detroit Auto Show. Last week Lexus came over all enigmatic and sent us a teaser photo of a concept car heading for the Detroit Auto Show in January which, they say, heralds a new design direction for Lexus. All we got was a tight front three-quarters shot of the new car showing a car which appeared to be dynamic and sporty, and with more than the odd design cue from the LFA.
GM preps for new engines, 8-speed transmission
Thu, 04 Apr 2013General Motors is spending $332 million to upgrade powertrain plants in three states to build a new eight-speed automatic transmission, a new V6 and a new family of small-displacement gasoline engines. The plants are in Indiana, Michigan and Ohio. GM is also adding $46 million to an earlier $600 million program to upgrade powertrain plants in Saginaw and Romulus, Mich.

The two cars were different: one a 306bhp 3.8-litre V6; the other a turbocharged four-cylinder 2.0-litre delivering 212bhp. Both have rear-wheel-drive and independent suspension all round; both undercut their competition on price.
