Up for bid is a used hardbound 1982 Chilton Auto Repair Manual for all 1975 - 1982 American made American Motors, Ford, General Motors and Chrysler vehicles. The manual has 1,200+ pages of maintenance and repair information including general info, specification and maintenance, engine performance and tune-up, engine overhaul, turbo charging, emissions controls, chassis-body-drive train-fuel-electrical-brake-suspension systems with thousands of crisp, clear illustrations and more. This manual does have some faded or stained pages and shows some signs of use and the cover is a little worn looking (see PIC), but is in great usable condition. On a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being brand new, I’d rate this manual at an easy 9.0 for its overall condition. To be shown at the annual Worthersee show (which starts in Austria this week) the concept uses the 2.5-litre five-cylinder from the Audi TT RS and RS Q3 SUV. Officially, to show the A3’s ‘sportiness’, but it points to an RS3 saloon (we've already spied the hatch testing) as well as the next TT RS, which sits on the same platform.

Sun, 04 May 2014The Mercedes G-Class is getting a major overhaul – but not until 2017 The Mercedes G-wagon has been with us for 35 years, and despite its rather dated underpinnings and looks it sells well enough for Mercedes to keep on churning out the G-Class for those with ‘military’ wants – and the posers. But even the G-Class is not immune from the massive changes that have taken place in cars in recent years, so Mercedes is planning a major overhaul of the G-Wagon for 2017 – just after Land Rover arrive with a new Defender. The 2017 G-Class is going to be wider – by around 100mm – to make it more stable, allow a more sophisticated front suspension and make more room in the cabin.
