This is a chrome over bronze boat light. The light pole measures about 7/8 inches wide outside diameter and 3/4 inch inside diameter. Inside is threaded. The light measures 2+1/2 inches tall and the total width is 3+11/16 inches. The wings are angled at 135 degrees I believe. The glass lens is Perko. This piece is worn but would be great for re use or that restoration project.

Nissan EV moves electric car closer to reality

It's called the Leaf in Japan, and whether or not Nissan's production electric car carries that name in the United States, the company insists that the car will be on the road before the end of 2010. Slightly larger than the familiar Versa subcompact, the zero-emissions Leaf was unveiled Aug. 2 at a dedication ceremony for Nissan's new global headquarters in Yokohama, Japan.

Carroll Shelby's AC Cobra to be auctioned

A limited-production 1965 Shelby Cobra 427 CSX1001 will be available at the Russo and Steele Collector Automobile Auction in Scottsdale, Ariz., Jan. 19-23, 2011. This vehicle is one of 12 in the CSX1000 series to have an AC-built body.

First sight of Pininfarina-designed Eurostar trains

Eurostar has unveiled the first images of its new Pininfarina-designed e320 trains that are currently under construction in Germany. A £700m overhaul of the Eurostar fleet has seen a refurbishment of its existing trains as well as the purchase of 10 new trains designed by the Italian design house. The entire new Eurostar fleet should be completed by 2015 with production of the new e320 trains and refurbishment of the existing trains well underway.
