Dodge Charger Pursuit sets fastest ever lap for AWD car in Michigan State Police tests

In this year's Police Vehicle Evaluation conducted by the Michigan State Police at Grattan Raceway, a 2014 Dodge Charger Pursuit AWD has just set the fastest lap time ever recorded for an all-wheel-drive test sedan. The AWD Dodge Charger Pursuit set a time of 1:33.85, which was just a fraction of a second slower than the rear wheel-drive version of the car which set the previous benchmark at 1:33.70 back in 2012. The HEMI-powered sedan pairs a 370 hp V8 engine with an all-wheel-drive system, which uses a transfer case with front-axle-disconnect, which allows the Dodge Charger Pursuit to automatically go from RWD to AWD when conditions require it.

Caterham has added the Supersport R to its range of ’7′ models with a 2.0 litre Duratec Ford engine delivering 180bhp. In the meantime, Caterham’s core road car business is the old Lotus 7 range of Caterhams, so it makes sense to keep that more appealing and relevant until new cars start to arrive, so we get the Caterham Supersport R as an addition to the range to slot in between the Supersport and the Superlight models. European Car of The Year 2012 to be announced at Geneva

The European Car of the Year 2012 will be revealed at next month's Geneva motor show, drawn from a shortlist of seven cars. In the first stage of voting judges selected their seven favorite cars from a list of 35 candidates that were put on sale in Europe in 2011, with January seeing the declaration of the seven finalists. The second stage of voting will find the European Car of the Year 2012, with the winning car announced on 5 March at the Geneva motor show.
