Porsche Museum hosts Colección Goméz
Tue, 20 Sep 2011The Porsche Design Museum is opening a new special exhibition today, September 20th. Called the ‘Colección Goméz' the museum will display 24 works of art created by 19 South American artists who have used Porsche 911 GT2 hoods pressed into service as a ‘canvass'. The new exhibition is the brainchild of Jorge Gómez, both an art lover and big fan of the Porsche brand.
The Mini is 50 years old today
Fri, 08 May 2009Today - 08/05/2009 - is the 50th anniversary of the first Mini rolling off the production line. To celebrate, and for a bit of free publicity (see, we’re playing the game) BMW has shipped the first Mini to roll of the production line back to Cowley to celebrate (picture at the bottom). 621 AOK, a Mini Minor, in Old English White, looks as fresh as the day it rolled off the production line half a century ago (although I wouldn’t mind betting it doesn’t have it’s original sills – they always rusted through – or copes with its original distributor and leads – one splash of rain and the car ground to a halt!).
2014 Acura RDX priced at $35,415
Wed, 03 Apr 2013The 2014 Acura RDX goes on sale Wednesday with a base price of $35,415, including $895 in destination charges. Stepping up to the technology package brings the price to $39,115; all-wheel drive adds $1,400. Only one powertrain will be offered for 2014: a 3.5-liter V6 with a six-speed automatic transmission.
