Up for bids is a new pair of vintage style chrome sport mirrors, left and right, complete with hardware. The heads and bases are plastic. The heads are offset to the outside. They have screws on the back of the heads and can be adjusted in many different positions. These have long mounting bases. They can be added to most any car. The mounting brackets should fit most existing bolt patterns up to 5-1/4" apart. Please ask any questions you may have before bidding. Thanks for Looking!

Fri, 21 Mar 2014In late 1984, Oldsmobile management had so much confidence in the potential of its new inline four-cylinder engine Quad 4, that a small team was assigned to the creation of the Aerotech, a research vehicle designed to demonstrate the engine's performance by setting a new world speed record. Ed Welburn, then assistant chief designer, was mostly working on the 1988 Cutlass Supreme but his passion for race cars made him the ideal candidate to be handed the assignment by Oldsmobile 2 studio's chief David North. Inspired by Le Mans racers such as the Porsche 917LH and Jim Hall's Chaparrals, he designed a long, flowing car that immediately seduced design director Chuck Jordan and GM management.
Ford software maximizes hybrid efficiency
Fri, 09 Nov 2012Ford will use a little navigation wizardry on two of its hybrids: the C-Max Energi plug-in and Fusion. The system will use GPS data and an algorithm to predict when a driver is close frequented destinations. The car will adjust powertrain controls to maximize efficiency.Ford calls the feature EV+, which is part of SmartGauge, standard on the Fusion Energi and C-Max Energi plug-ins and on hybrid models.
