Up for bids is a new pair of vintage style chrome sport mirrors, left and right, complete with hardware. The heads and bases are plastic. The heads are offset to the outside. They have screws on the back of the heads and can be adjusted in many different positions. These have long mounting bases. They can be added to most any car. Just how much do the drivers of Formula One cars get for risking their lives (well, that may be a bit of an overstatement in 2012) in pursuit of a victory on the track? It seems anything from €150k to €30 million is the spread.

For perhaps the first time, Volvo are offering a serious alternative to cars like the BMW 1 Series (and the new Mercedes A Class) with the V40. Certainly on all the things that grab the headlines – looks, performance and equipment – the V40 seems to be a very credible effort from Volvo.
