Kia GT and Provo look to be heading in to production
Tue, 12 Mar 2013The recent Kia Provo Concept and the impressive Kia GT look like they’re heading in to production as Kia move upmarket. Equally, the stunning Kia GT concept we saw at 2 years ago at Frankfurt - a swoopy coupe Kia take on the Mercedes CLS – was equally convincing, although we’d begun to think Kia had gone cold on the idea of putting the Kia GT in to production. 2012 Chevrolet Corvette upgrades focus on track performance
Thu, 28 Apr 2011To keep up on the track with the Vipers and Super Snakes of the world, Chevrolet has upgraded the Corvette for 2012. There's no change to the engines or their output for 2012, but you will shave a few seconds off your lap times with the newly optional Michelin Pilot Sport Cup Zero Pressure tire. Only offered on the Z06 and ZR1 models, the package includes the tires, 285/30-19 in front and 335/25-20 rear, and lightweight aluminum Cup-style wheels in satin black or machined finishes.
Mercedes-Benz introduces nine-speed automatic gearbox
Mon, 22 Jul 2013Mercedes-Benz has quietly slipped a new nine-speed automatic into its lineup as standard equipment on the European market E350 BlueTec. The new in-house produced unit, known internally under the name 9G-Tronic, has long been slated for selected Mercedes-Benz models. However, its existence was officially denied until the weekend, when Mercedes-Benz's German language website configurator went live with various updates for the E-class lineup -- including an entry signaling the 9G-Tronic is now available on the standard rear-wheel drive E350 BlueTec in place of the older seven-speed.
