San Marino Motor Classic celebrates its third year

There may be more car collections hidden in Southern California garages, hangars and warehouses than anywhere else in the world, and Aaron Weiss knows almost all of the collectors. Weiss, along with co-founders Ben Reiling, Paul Colony and a large contingent of car-crazy compatriots and sponsors, put together the third annual San Marino Motor Classic on June 9 with 250 cars ranging from grand tourers to a Wells Fargo stage coach hauling guests around the show. “It's the best of the public and private collections in the Los Angeles area,” said emcee Ed Justice Jr., president of industry products company Justice Brothers.

McLaren Automotive officially announced on Friday that it will reveal the 12C Spider, an open-top version of the MP4-12C supercar, on July 3. There has been much speculation about an open-top version since the release of the original MP4-12C. In a video interview, McLaren Formula One driver Jenson Button extols the virtues of open-top driving.

Pitures of what appears to be the 2011 US Spec Fiesta have leaked ahead of launch Ford have played a long game with the introduction to the US market of Europe’s favourite small car – the Ford Fiesta. They’ve run a very savvy social media campaign and had a whole heap of Fiestas running round the US in the hands of bloggers and other social media types – The Fiesta Movement – to get coverage for the Fiesta ahead of its launch at the LA Auto Show this week.
