COLGAN "THE ORIGINAL CUSTOM CAR BRA" FOR CHEVORLET LUMINA APV YEAR MODEL 1990.   Colgan part number 442

This Auction is for a brand new old stock Colgan custom car bra. Colgan created the first car bra in 1961 for German engineers interested in providing a protective cover while road testing cars. Particularly new Porsches. Colgan uses specially formulated vinyl that is tested to withstand extreme temperature changes and its resistance to stones and debris. The vinyl also receives a top coating that shields the vinyl from weathering. The backing is a substrate of super soft porous polyester to keep the paint scratch free. This substrate is not laminated but actually integrated by special process into the vinyl to eliminate any possibility of separation. The fender pad is double padding to assuring a good fit and protection against wear-through. The binding is a soft polyester binds all edges to assure protection against abrasion and gives a quality, finished appearance. Top stitched seams enhance strength and provide a neater appearance. The hooks are designed to assure protection against abrasion. The air deflectors are used to stabilize the cover at high speeds and deflect debris and insects from the cars windshield.  The Colgan custom car bra comes in the original box and sealed instructions for installation. The original list price of these car bras are $79.99 to $99.99.  Please ask any questions before bidding and end of auction.

Volvo XC40 spotted undisguised in Norway

Mon, 04 Jun 2012

The Volvo XC40 – the compact SUV / Crossover version of the new Volvo V40 – has been spotted undisguised in Norway ahead of a Paris Motor Show debut. We’ve been hearing for some time that the Volvo XC40 – the latest addition to Volvo’s SUV range and based on the new V40 – is getting close to a public debut, and back in April we reported that the XC40 would, in all probability, arrive at the Paris Motor Show in September. That prediction on the XC40′s fairly imminent arrival has been given additional credence with the first shots of the new Volvo XC40 taken on what appears to be a photo / video shoot on closed roads in Norway – perhaps the debut video for the XC40 in the making?

VW Polo R confirmed for 2013

Mon, 16 May 2011

VW Polo WRC makes the case for the 4WD VW Polo R We speculated a year ago that the Polo GTI wouldn’t be the top of the Polo tree, and that Volkswagon would roll out the VW Polo R in 2012, but perhaps with FWD instead of the 4WD its big brother, the Golf R, enjoys. But just a few months later it seemed clear that we would end up getting a 4WD Polo R at some point after Audi lost its bottle at the last minute and pulled the Audi S1 badge off a FWD A1, instead calling it the Audi A1 1.4 TFSI. That change of heart by Audi – saving the S1 badge for a quattro S1 – meant that a quattro platform would be developed for the S1, and as the A1 uses the Polo platform it meant a 4WD platform would be available for the Polo too.

Honda CR-V concept

Mon, 25 Jul 2011

This is the first image of the Honda CR-V concept, a vehicle that previews the fourth generation CR-V expected to be revealed at the LA auto show in November. The new CR-V's thinly veiled concept precursor highlights a new front face, sculpted bodysides and kick-up DLO shape that will appear on the production car. Inside, Honda claims the new CR-V will offer an ‘accommodating and spacious interior' with a ‘host of new possibilities'.
